Why a brief
Most bad KOL posts come from a bad or missing brief. The KOL guesses what to say, says something wrong, and you spend the campaign correcting it. A one-page brief with three messages, a tracking link, and the disclosure and approval rules fixes most of that.
What is in it
- What the project is, in one sentence the KOL can repeat.
- The goal in numbers, so everyone knows what a good result looks like.
- Budget, payment token and the 50/50 split.
- Three messages. Not ten. KOLs pick one anyway.
- What not to say. Price targets and "guaranteed" get projects and KOLs in trouble with regulators.
- Disclosure, tracking link, approval window, and reporting dates.
For the legal side of the disclosure line, read the disclosure rules guide. For what to put in the actual contract, read KOL contract terms.
