What we do
We plan and execute your presence at the main crypto conferences, including Token2049 in Singapore and Dubai, Consensus, EthCC, Devcon and Solana Breakpoint. The work covers sponsorship selection and negotiation, side event production, speaker placement, meeting scheduling, KOL meetups and the follow-up afterwards. KOL.solutions is run by Bussler & Co, a New York marketing company founded in 2016 that has worked with more than 150 clients since 2016, and we are an official member of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network.
Our general advice is to spend less on the official package and more on your own events. A booth puts you in a hall with hundreds of other booths and most conversations there last two minutes. A dinner for 30 people you chose, or a side event in a good venue near the main hall, produces conversations that are long enough to matter. When a sponsorship is worth buying it is usually because of the speaking slot or the attendee list access attached to it, not the booth itself.
How a conference week runs, step by step
- Target list. We start from who you need to meet: investors, exchanges, integration partners, developers or customers. That decides which conference and which package.
- Sponsorship review. We get the packages, compare what each tier actually includes and tell you which parts are worth paying for. Sponsorship prices are negotiable, especially close to the event.
- Speaker placement. We submit your speakers to the main agenda and to side event organisers. Submissions close months ahead for the large conferences, so this starts early.
- Side event. We find and book the venue, plan the format, handle catering and audio visual, run registration with approval so the room holds the right people, and staff the door.
- KOL meetups. We invite creators who are already in town to a small dinner or a suite session with your founders. This produces better content than paying for a post, because they have something real to say afterwards.
- Meeting schedule. We book meetings for your team before the week starts, since the calendar fills up two to three weeks ahead.
- Content capture. A photographer or video operator covers the week so you have footage for the following month, not just conference photos nobody uses.
- Follow-up. Contacts are collected in one sheet with notes and sent to you within 48 hours, while people still remember the conversation.

- A produced side event: venue, format, run of show, registration, catering, audio visual and staff.
- A KOL dinner or meetup with an invited creator list.
- A meeting calendar for your team.
- Photo and video coverage.
- A contact list with notes, delivered within two days of the event.
Typical timelines and budgets
Start three to four months out for a large conference, because speaker submissions and good venues both close early. Two months is workable for a side event alone. Six weeks is enough only for meetings and a KOL dinner. These are typical ranges.
| Approach | Typical cost | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| Meetings and a KOL dinner only | $8,000 to $25,000 | 4 to 6 weeks |
| Side event with speakers | $25,000 to $75,000 | 2 to 3 months |
| Sponsorship plus side event plus content | $75,000 to $250,000 | 3 to 4 months |
Venue and catering for a 100-person side event in Singapore or Dubai typically runs $15,000 to $40,000. Official sponsorship tiers at the largest conferences start in the low tens of thousands and go well past $100,000.
Who this is for
This fits teams raising a round, chasing exchange listings or integrations, or launching something they want covered while the industry press is in one place. It also fits projects that have already paid for a booth once and want a better return the second time. More on choosing events is in the crypto event marketing guide, and creator coverage during the week pairs with KOL marketing.
How to start
Book a call with the conference you are considering and we will tell you what to buy and what to skip.
Questions
Is a booth worth it at Token2049 or Consensus?
Usually only if the package includes a speaking slot or attendee access. For most teams a side event and a good meeting schedule produce more useful conversations for the same money.
How far ahead do I need to start?
Three to four months for a large conference. Speaker submissions and the better side-event venues close well before the event.
Can you get our founder on stage?
We submit and pitch, and placement depends on the organiser. Side event and podcast stages are much easier to secure than the main agenda, and they often have a better audience for a specific pitch.
What is a KOL meetup?
A small dinner or session with creators who are already attending. They meet your team, get a demo and have real material for posts afterwards.
