What we do
We handle the whole release: the news angle, the writing, the quotes, the distribution and the report. Most crypto releases fail for the same two reasons. The news is not news, or the release is written as marketing copy that no editor will run. We fix both before anything is sent. KOL.solutions is run by Bussler & Co, a New York marketing company founded in 2016 that has worked with more than 150 clients since 2016, and we are an official member of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network.
There are two separate things being sold in this market, and it is worth being clear about them. Paid placement means a publication or wire runs your release for a fee, usually marked as sponsored or press release content. It is guaranteed, fast, and it is mainly useful for search results and credibility checks. Editorial coverage means a journalist decides your news is worth writing about. It cannot be bought from a legitimate outlet, it takes longer, and it is worth far more. We do both and we never describe one as the other.
How a release runs, step by step
- News check. We ask what actually changed: a funding round, a listing, a mainnet, a partnership with a named counterparty, a product with users, an audit result. If there is no real change, we say so and suggest waiting.
- Angle and headline. We write the headline first, because if the headline is not interesting the release will not be read.
- Drafting. We write 400 to 600 words in news structure: the news in the first sentence, the detail in the next two paragraphs, then quotes, then boilerplate. Quotes come from your team and we draft them for approval.
- Your review. You check the facts, the numbers and the legal wording. Nothing goes out without written approval.
- Distribution list. We pick the wire tier and the individual crypto outlets, and list the price per placement so you can cut any of them.
- Tier-1 pitching. Where the news is strong enough, we pitch named reporters directly with a short email and an offer of an interview, before the release goes on the wire.
- Publication. The release goes live with tracked links back to your site.
- Report. You get every live URL, the outlet, whether it was paid or editorial, and referral traffic per link.
What you get
- A written release, plus a short version for social and a one-paragraph version for email.
- Approved quotes from your team and a standard boilerplate you can reuse.
- A distribution plan with the price of each outlet shown separately.
- Direct pitches to reporters who cover your area, with the responses passed on to you.
- A live link report, marked to show which coverage was paid and which was editorial.
- Referral traffic per link through UTM tracking.
Typical timelines and budgets
Writing and approval take three to five working days. Wire placement is usually live within 24 to 48 hours of approval. Tier-1 pitching needs a week of lead time before the announcement, and reporters often need more. These are typical ranges.
| Package | Typical cost | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Writing only | $800 to $2,000 | Release, quotes, short versions |
| Release plus crypto wire | $2,000 to $6,000 | Writing and guaranteed placement on crypto outlets |
| Release plus wire plus pitching | $6,000 to $15,000 | The above, plus direct pitching to named reporters |
| Ongoing programme | $4,000 to $12,000 per month | One to two releases a month and continuous media contact |
Individual tier-1 crypto publications charge their own sponsored content rates, which typically run from a few thousand dollars to the low tens of thousands per placement. We pass those through at cost and show you the invoice.
Who this is for
This fits teams with real news and a date: a raise, a listing, a launch, an acquisition or a named partnership. It also fits projects that need indexed coverage so that a search for their name returns something other than their own website. It is a poor fit if the plan is to announce a partnership that is really just a meeting, since that is the kind of release reporters remember for the wrong reasons. More detail on outlets and pricing is in the crypto press release distribution guide.
How to start
Book a call with your announcement date and we will tell you whether the news is strong enough for editorial pitching or better suited to wire placement.
Questions
Can you guarantee coverage in a tier-1 outlet?
We can guarantee paid placement, which is marked as sponsored. Editorial coverage depends on a reporter deciding the story is worth writing, so no agency can honestly guarantee it.
How long should a crypto press release be?
400 to 600 words. Anything longer gets cut by editors, and anything shorter usually leaves out the detail that makes the news checkable.
Does a press release help search rankings?
Indirectly. Most wire links are nofollow, so the value is in being findable and quotable rather than in link equity.
When should the release go out relative to the announcement?
Pitch reporters about a week ahead under embargo, and put the release on the wire on the announcement day itself.
